I wish i had alot to say about my Dad,but unfortunatly we spent many years apart, but i have some
happy memories of myself and Dad as a child before he went on and remarried. I use to love going to
work with him when he worked on his bakery rounds, and also use to love waiting for my Dad to come
home from work, just so i could sit on his knee and help him eat his dinner...someone else's dinner
alway's taste's better than your own..lol! My Dad was a very handsome man in his younger day's,and
i alway's thought he looked like the man from "The saint" Roger moore, and dad use to laugh when i
told him who i though he looked like. In time Dad went on to marry again,a lady called Pat,who had
two children of her own,Michael, and Paula....my dad loved them very much as if they were his own
children, and i as a young girl thought it was great having a step-brother and sister. I spent quite
alot of weekends staying with my Dad and his family, and loved spending time with them, but when it
was time to go home again after the weekend had come to an end,i didnt like to go home, because i had
a step-father who i hated very much, for reasons i wont go into. I remember a few times my Dad
picking me up from school in my dinner times, and i use to feel so good my dad being there, and showed
off to my friends...lol....i so much use to enjoy the family holiday's with my Dad,cause it meant i
got to spend some time with him! Dad was very well liked and had lots of friends, but there was one
friend i remember very well, and that was "Uncle John"who Dad had been friends with for many many
years,he was a lovely man, just like my Dad! Sadly through no fault of mine, myself and Dad had many
years apart, but we eventually met up again, and we got on well,i told him i loved him,and he told me
he loved me too..something ive never heard him say to me,and that brought tears to my eye's,but at
the same time made me happy, because quite often growing up i felt i wasnt included in his new
life, his wife was good to me,but there was alway's something there...that i couldn't put my finger
on...my Dad felt like a stranger to me,i wanted to run in his arms, wanted him to cuddle
me,etc.....but i suppose he too felt like me abit awkward.....but i loved him very much all the
same. I cannot change the past, and wouldn't want too, because my Dad gave me some happy memories of
the times i spent with him,and the step-family i grew to like too. My Dad is missed by everyone very
much,he was a very well thought of person, and has left a big hole in their lives.
We all love and miss you Dad.XX
WE WILL REMEMBER THEM
At the rising sun and at its going down we remember them.
At the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter we remember them.
At the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring we remember them.
At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of summer we remember them.
At the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of the autumn we remember them.
At the beginning of the year and when it ends we remember them.
As long as we live, they too will live, for they are now a part of us. As we remember them. When we are weary and in need of strength we remember them.
When we are lost and sick at heart we remember them.
When we have decisions that are difficult to make we remember them.
When we have joy we crave to share we remember them.
When we have achievements that are based on theirs we remember them.
For as long as we live, they too will live,
For they are now a part of us, as we remember them.

Recipe for Christmas All Year Long
♥♫♥♫♥♫♥♫♥♫♥♫♥♫♥♫♥♫♥♫♥♫♥♫♥♫♥♫♥♫♥♫
Take a heap of child-like wonder
That opens up our eyes
To the unexpected gifts in life—
Each day a sweet surprise.
Mix in fond appreciation
For the people whom we know;
Like festive Christmas candles,
Each one has a special glow.
Add some giggles and some laughter,
A dash of Christmas food,
(Amazing how a piece of pie
Improves our attitude!)
Stir it all with human kindness;
Wrap it up in love and peace,
Decorate with optimism, and
Our joy will never cease.
If we use this healthy recipe,
We know we will remember
To be in the Christmas spirit,
Even when it's not December.

As Christmas time approaches
We miss you more and more
Memories of past Yule times
We always will adore
We still hang the decorations
Put the lights upon the tree
We hang the cards upon the wall
This one's for you, you see
Even though you are not here
You're always in our hearts
So we remember you this Christmas
While we're temporarily apart.

I've set your place at the table
Your presents wrapped under the tree
Christmas carols playing
But you're not here with me
It seems harder this time of year
I miss you so much more
The only thing that gets me through
Are the memories of before
So here's a card just for you
To show how much I care
I know your waiting with the angels
One day I'll see you there.
